This time last year, there was a lot of Oscar buzz around Julianne Moore’s utterly breathtaking performance in “Still Alice”. But she completely owned the spotlight once she stepped out with her red-carpet-slaying beauty look, and graced every media outlet following her Best Actress win at the 87th Academy Awards.

While we don’t all have a glam team to design a look for the evening, this step-by-step guide is all the makeup and skincare you need to achieve the same timeless look for any special night out. Hope you are ready for your best Instagram shot ever!
Prep Your Canvas:
Wash your face using Dermalogica’s Essential Cleansing Solution . Pat dry and follow with Dermalogica’s new Charcoal Rescue Masque. This mask detoxifies, brightens and invigorates your complexion. Next, moisturize using THEFACESHOP’s spanking new Hwansaenggo Escargot Golden Firming Line in the order of toner, emulsion, serum, cream and eye cream. Now that we have the perfect canvas for makeup application, let the fun begin!
Flawless Face:
Shhh, but we hear that the one primer that every beauty blogger is using is Dermalogica’s Hydrablur Primer. It prepares the skin flawlessly for Charlotte Tilbury’s new Magic Foundation that is longwearing and thin to wear, yet provides fantastic coverage. We hide blemishes with essence’s Say No to Redness colour correcting concealer, and set everything with essence All About Matt! Fixing Compact Powder. THEFACESHOP’s new Hydro Cushion Blush and Charlotte Tilbury’s new Bar of Gold helps us achieve an effortlessly blushed and contoured face. One look at the adorable packaging justifies these pocket-sized goodies as our latest beauty obsessions.
Emphasis on the Eyes:
We take care of our arches using Essence’s How to Make Brows Wow make-up box. This compact kit has tweezers, an application brush and four shades of powder to shape and shade to your liking. Julianne Moore’s sultry eye makeup is achieved using Charlotte Tilbury’s The Dolce Vita Luxury Eye Palette. There are four harmonious shades to prime, enhance, smoke and pop your eyeshadow to your desired intensity.
Lovely Lips:
Now for the perfect pout. Don’t forget to prime with Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Magic first. We suggest even slipping this on right after washing your face to allow this lip balm to sink in. Don’t forget to first outline your lips with Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Cheat in Hollywood Honey, and finish off with THEFACESHOP’s Collagen Ampoule Lipstick for the picture-perfect pout.
VOILA! You are now ready for your close up.
